LocalTuneup (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a WhatsApp-based assistant that helps small businesses in India create and manage social media content, including AI-generated video reels, Google Business Profile updates, and Instagram posts. This policy explains what information we collect through the LocalTuneup WhatsApp bot and how we use it.

Information We Collect

When you interact with LocalTuneup via WhatsApp, we collect:

  • Your WhatsApp phone number, used to identify your account and deliver messages back to you.
  • Business information you provide, such as your business name, business type/category, contact phone number, and preferred language.
  • Photos and media you send, including shop/logo photos, before-and-after work photos, product photos, and customer review text — used to generate branded video content and extract brand colors.
  • Message content, including any text you send to configure your account, request a reel, write a review, or describe a special offer.

How We Use This Information

We use the information above to:

  • Generate branded video reels and promotional content on your behalf.
  • Extract brand colors from photos you provide, for consistent visual branding.
  • Post content to Instagram and Google Business Profile, when you explicitly request it (e.g., replying “Post karu”).
  • Edit your Google Business Profile fields (hours, attributes, category, FAQs) when you explicitly request it.
  • Send you performance reports for your connected Google Business Profile.
  • Improve and troubleshoot the service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

To provide LocalTuneup’s features, some of your data is shared with the following third-party service providers, solely for the purpose of delivering the service:

  • Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform — to send and receive WhatsApp messages, and to publish content to Instagram on your behalf when requested.
  • WaveSpeedAI and Google (Veo) — photos and prompts you provide may be sent to these AI video-generation providers to create your video reels.
  • Google Business Profile API — to read and update your business listing information, when you use these features.
  • Supabase — used as temporary cloud storage for media files during the Instagram posting process.
  • Interakt — used to send WhatsApp message templates, such as review requests, on your behalf.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing how they handle data sent to them; we only share what’s necessary to perform the specific action you requested.

Data Storage and Retention

Business information, brand assets (logos, shop photos), and generated content are stored on our servers for as long as your account is active, so we can continue generating content consistent with your brand. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

Your Rights

You may, at any time:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about your business.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.

Children’s Privacy

LocalTuneup is intended for use by business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
